I have had people who are highly non-political get angry on this issue. An American issue indeed!

I'd also suggest each of us write to Congressman Darrel Issa (and any other Congressmen part of the joint committee). Issa (a House Rep from a San Diego county area) will be in conference with the evil, elitist Senators while they try to hash out a compromise. He needs to be bolstered up before the senators try to beat him (and the others) down.

According to Issa, the House members are ready to take a tough stand against much of the senate bill. I sure hope he really means it ..

Here is Issa's contact form:

or

www.congress.org for other committee members

Its true the immigration debate is not a liberal or conservative issue, its an American vs internationalist issue. The question is, are we going to allow the rest of the world to decide who will immigrate and who many they will send, or are we going to assert our rights as citizens?

The men and women in our federal government who are voting for "immigration reform" are internationalists, really trying to 'reform' our constitutional government, by blocking the American people from their rightful representation and crush their confidence in the US Constitution to preserve that right.

If you take a quick peek over at DU, you will see that the LEFT is just as UPSET about the GARBAGE produced in the Senate Bill....

That would prove politics makes strange bedfelows. Imagine Freepers and DUers standing up to Washington on the same issue? What a wierd, warped mutation of bipartisanshipness that would be.
