I still get emails from Senator Frist, even after moving back to Mississippi, after a few year in Memphis, where I voted for Frist in 2000.
This one I found quite amusing, as Bill posted about his delightment "report that this morning we did our job and the Senate confirmed the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the D.C. Circuit Court and of General Michael Hayden as the Director of the CIA."
Well, it quickly went Frist's turn to anti-conservative in the amnesty vote.

In his post Frist proudly proclaims "Where did Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy stand on these crucial nominations? Not on the side of judicial restraint -- all three attempted to block Judge Kavanaugh from ever receiving his up-or-down vote. Not on the side of serious prosecution of the War on Terror -- all three voted against CIA Director Hayden to please liberal special interest groups."
But Kenneth Blakely summed it up greatly in his post "Great news on Kavenaugh. How many years did that take? And we are the majority. Yesterday, you sided WITH Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton in pulling the rug out from under your base. We will not forget. When the going gets tough, Frist caves. Go have a drink with Teddy, McCain, Kerry (French wine) and have a great holiday. I need a political party!"
Man, this guy thinks he's still got the conservative vote, doesn't he!
If the House would simply refuse to appoint conferees to the stench that came out of the Senate yesterday they would be seen as heroes to the conservative base. We can wait a little while longer for more refom, there are plenty of laws on the books as it is that could solve the problem if they chose to enforce them.
