I believe immigration is an important issue but, not everything is necessarily about immigration. I don't think last night's press conference was about anything other than Iraq. Somebody (Tony Snow I suspect) has said to the President what you say is not nearly as important as what you do. So, last night I heard the President gently say I don't regret any of the hard choices that I made. But, I may regret my language in talking about those choices.
It makes me angry to see the President's fair weather friends abandoning him now. Some of his loudest supporters have conveniently joined the new parade to become his loudest critics. It is easy to be against him, it takes a lot more guts to hang in there when the slogging becomes tough.

As we get closer to the elections, FR will pull together to keep Republicans in Congress, and that will include moderating the criticism of George W. Bush.
Those that don't get the message will be seeing the blue screen.
