Bush is pretending that the war is the reason his numbers are so low and not the border. What a wimp he is turning out to be. If he actually said this he should be ashamed of himself! Everyone was proud of his tough stance at the beginning. Look at him now.

This isn't an immigration thread.

Bush may be a lot of things, but he NEVER pretends to be anything. Perhaps it's a bit of projection on your part? However, since he's such a "wimp" I guess you can do better? YOU fight a war on 2 fronts, the constant lies and badgering by the press, a congress that would rather hold hands with Dems than with their president, Dems who try every tactic in the world to bring him down, an intelligence service that has/had to be cleaned to be effective but in the meantime is leaking dangerous secrets like a seive, and his pathetic, whiny "base" who expect him to be able to solve everything in the blink of an eye just because they think their issue is the most important one in the world. So since YOU seem to have all the answers, go for it.

your right , poll numbers show that democrats have always have a negative view of the president, and his approval rating with them hasn’t changed, the movement in the ratings have come from a loss of supporters from the Republican Party.

Of all people the president should know that conservatives want to be tough with security law and order, they wanted him to call evil for what it is evil, whether it was abroad or at home.

He seems to be backpedaling now by saying he needs to be more sensitive about terrorism, and coupled with his ideas about touchy feely compassion for Latin Americans whom prop up evil governments yet he wants us to assimilate their people and views here but that just leads to a lack of concern for the security US citizens at home.

It appears that he is now not very serious about national security , which is too bad because that topic is the winner for the American people, lets just hope this faction wont end up steering the party and that these views will just be the lame duck views of the liberal center, and a historic president who said some tough talk and acted on it at one time ...

Bush is pretending that the war is the reason his numbers are so low and not the border.

Where in this article does Bush say the war is the reason his numbers are low?

Nowhere.

In fact, where in the article does Bush say he cares about his numbers at all?

Nowhere.

You read the opinion of the author of the article and mistook it for that of the President.
