The ONLY impact they have is to assure Dem victories.

Britain's MI6 used this tactic in colonial Hong Kong - the Police's Special Branch in fact had informers deep down inside the pro-Communist camp and even now and then we don't know why they are. They might have as well be regarded by everyone as commie scums. Will it be plausible that Noam Chomsky or George Galloway in fact agents working on our side? We won't really know until at least 15 to 20 years after they die.

Now back to the topic. The way I see intelligence agencies work, they do a lot of very surprising things. I see that the political Left in America is no different. They might not have the new political ideas, but surely they are smart on the tactics side as to know ways to disrupt us. But rest assured: our side also has our men in their camp as well. ;-)

Any wuss can climb on board the gravy train

You want to talk about gravy train? The people running the CP have a gravy train. They get on talk radio, get gullible people, like me, to send them contributions knowing full well, every penny is a waste.

They produce ZERO results. They always have and they always will.

When I heard their despicable ads, my eyes were opened.

However ---

if the "party" doesn't support your conservative candidate, they will do everything in their power to make him or her spend a lot of money only to lose. Case in point: Katherine Harris (is that her name?) in Florida.

The Republican party will go to any length to defeat her - why?

Republicans also lost the popular vote to Gore and barely beat Kerry (Ohio).

I challenge the truth of this statement. There was massive voter fraud in FL and it wasn't the Republicans doing it. When you also add the votes either stolen from Bush in other states or votes added for Gore, Bush easily won the popular vote, too.

We should never allow Democrats get by with claiming Gore won the popular vote.

Thank you for a sane analysis. The answer is under our noses. It's run conservative candidates in primaries. End of story.

No. You run against the person whos votes your trying to get. You think a Conservative is going to get a liberals votes? Thats why in things called "Primarys" Republicans run against Republicans and Democraps run against Democraps. In the case of the 3rd party its trying to wedge its way into the voting block your trying to get. Perot was a weak spined leader with a great idea. We now need a strong spined leader with a great idea to get a 3rd party working

Granted, but they themselves were willing to live under a Democrat president rather than Bush by attempting to siphon off enough votes from Bush to throw it to Gore or Kerry.

They cared more about themselves than their country.

We live in a swing state and we heard their ads repeatedly. Both candidates were fighting for our electoral votes but the CP and Buchanan kept attacking Bush. Shame on them. I have no use for them.

Okay fine. However, are you going to think that the same fraud occurred if and when McCain loses by 'a banana' ? We conservatives expect to get Reagan-like landslides and Reagan-like mandates. Unfortunately, it appears that one needs an actual Reagan to do that. Cheap Reagan imitations ('Kindler Gentler' and 'Compassionate Conservative') just barely win if indeed they win at all. And the sad fact is the Reagan Imitators have been running against the likes of Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and John Kerry. A true Reagan would have land slided every single one of em.

Probably. It's the nature of Democrats to cheat wherever they can but I probably agree with the rest of your premise.

Let's just hope McCain is not our candidate. I'm an Iowa caucus attendee. I can't see him getting the traction he needs out of Iowa, but then who knows.

The Democrats are nothing but pandering socialists who have sold out to corporate globalists, whereas Republicans are pandering corporatists who have sold out to socialistic globalists. There’s not a whole lot of difference is there?

Huge differrence; the republicans are still rational, the dems are insane. We need runoff elections, so that I could vote for a libertarian and not feel I was electing a democrat by doing so. Until we have them, I'll go on voting for republicans.

If that is what the American people want, then let them have it. There is a belief amongst country folk that the best way to discipline a dog which kills chikens is to take a chicken the dog has killed, and tie it around his neck until it smells so bad even the dog can\'t stand it anymore. That will cure him of his desire to kill another chicken. Same is true for elections. Let the American people vote this assortment of assclowns in for 2006; let them elect hildabeast too in 2008. Sure, things will be unpleasant for awhile. But, much as the chicken-killing dog will retch from the smell of his dead chicken, so the American electorate will be appalled by the atrocious job these incompetents will do. The result--conservatives will be elected for the next hundred or more years, and liberal thought will be largely wiped out or driven underground. There is a dialectic to political change which cannot be ignored; what gets dialectic change going is heightening the contradictions (AKA priming the pump). You do that by, as Popeye might say, giving people what they can\'t stands, till they cant stands it no more!
