Among those who declined to join the standing ovation was Michigan Court of Appeals Chief Judge William Whitbeck, one of the few Republican officeholders in attendance. He said it struck him as odd that federal prosecutors had chosen to announce such a significant development on a Saturday night, but he left the banquet convinced that Rove's indictment was a fait accompli.Ha! It figures that the only person mentioned that was having doubts about the "news" was a Republican, before even he succumbed to the evil influences of the DemonRats!
