Free Republic is a form of the NEW MEDIA.
I used to have a tagline that went: "I get my news are Free Republic".
It still works!
But FR isn't a media outlet, it reports stories from other media outlets. My point is, we say we don't trust AP, Reuters, etc., but they're the sources where we get this info on FR.
