If you'd actually step back and look at the GOP and the conservative movement in this country from any kind of a historical perspective, you'd realize that we're moving more to the right.
Thirty years ago, the face of the GOP was the northeast Republican. Nelson Rockefeller, even Ike Eisenhower. Richard Nixon to a large extent.
We've moved far to the right of them, largely thanks to the leadership of Reagan, but it's getting progressively better. Even Reagan didn't attempt to address the timebomb of Social Security, nor did he try to come up with a realistic solution to illegal immigration.
We're at least talking about those things today.
It's never perfect and political shifts are rarely dramatic. We have to yearn for the stars and settle for incremental gains. That's the way the Constitution was drafted and it's largely worked quite well so far.
Power is limited.
That's a good thing.
We don't have 30 years to figure this out. The invaders here need to be removed from our Country before they take up arms againsts American citizens for their wants. They have become very bold by being able to push around our President. His lack of a backbone has put us all in danger.
