I totally agree. But is this reason alone not to vote for DeWine? Dollars to donuts, his opponent will be opposed to ANWR as well. The whole world doesn't revolve around a single issue like ANWR. For example, DeWine supported Roberts and Alito. Do you really think that his Democrat opponent, if elected, will support nominees like Roberts and Alito. Of course not. Oh, and he will oppose ANWR as well.
DeWine was also a member of "the gang of Fourteen".I am not against him because of one single issue,but the weight of all his independent positions.What about the other 55 senators that DeWine thumbed his nose at when he voted no on ANWR?Senator Stevens was so angry I thought he was going to explode.ANWR was just the last straw for me.
