Yes, you are wrong. My point is that aliens from the planet Frobnab are conspiring to take our women. You should have figured that out from my first post to this thread.
Righteous!
I knew that America would miss Black people. At least when we protested for our rights, we WANTED to full-fledged AMERICANS!
Not exactly what this latest bunch of nitwits want:
A smart GOP would take 30% of the black vote on this issue, simply by openly taking a stand on illegals and thereby making the Democrats do the same.
I tell one thing I notice a lot. I have properties in predominately black neighborhoods and I NEVER see Democratic stickers on ANY cars there. NEVER. That is significant. The black community is poised to split up their vote, if only the GOP would ask for it on logical grounds.
You said it!
Just wait until the soldiers start getting back in bigger numbers from Iraq, and find themselves beat out of an entry-level job in the US by illegal aliens. Not every soldier comes out of the service a well-compensated technician.
I no longer vote for ANY Republicrat.
When all else fails, stop wasting your vote on the lesser of two evils. Evil is still evil no matter how you look at it.

That sounds constructive. When you build your perfect party to over 30% of the congress let me know, so I can start voting for them.
Perhaps you would prefer the Italian system of hundreds of parties, where you can vote for the perfect candidate every time, pick up 3 seats in the House and watch while they are able to do absolutely nothing.
I prefer to work on fixing the Repubilcan party. I've sent in the last six donation requests with "STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION! NO AMNESTY!" written with a red marker across them. Get 50,000 people to do that and you will get action. Get a political party of 50,000 and you'll get one House seat if you all share the same zip code.
Taking an active hand in the party, any party, has a lot more impact on its direction than staying home does.
No I don't believe there should be 10 million parties.
I believe the only political parties allowed to exist in these united states are one's that'll adhere to the Constitution for the United States. Any other(s) should never be allowed to exist at all.
The Republicans and the democrats all play lip service to the Constitution and that's it. One can only open ones ears and tell both major parties don't adhere to the Constitution when both parties claim to protect our DEMOCRACY.
WHERE in the Constitution does it state ANYTHING about a democracy?
Go to Article IV, section 4 and read what it says!!!
WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. English, Inc., the nation's oldest and largest non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the unifying role of the English language in the United States, today announced its support for H.R. 997, the English Language Unity Act of 2005. Introduced by Rep. Steve King (R-IA) and 57 additional members of Congress, the bill would make English the official language of the United States government.
"We congratulate Rep. King and his colleagues in Congress for their efforts on behalf of our common language, said Mauro E. Mujica, Chairman of U.S. English, Inc. With 322 languages spoken in our nation of immigrants, it is time to recognize the bonds that unite us as Americans. Over the last 200 years, our nation has grown, our technology has improved, and our people have been diverse, but the one constant has been the unifying factor of the English language.
More than 92 percent of the nations in the world have an official language policy to facilitate communication and assist assimilation. Yet the United States clings to a costly and divisive system of providing services in multiple languages, including Social Security information in 16 languages and ballots in 28 languages. By doing so, we have taken away some of the incentive for immigrants to learn English, and for English language learning assistance.
Recognizing that English proficiency is necessary for integration into the American mainstream, The English Language Unity Act of 2005 would require the United States government to conduct official business in English. Specifically, H.R. 997 would limit routine government operations to English, while giving government agencies common sense flexibility to protect public health and safety, national security, and to provide for the needs of commerce and justice systems.
H.R. 997 looks to build on the success of a similar measure in the 108th Congress (also H.R. 997), that received the support of 109 members. This legislation is also comparable to the Bill Emerson English Language Empowerment Act of 1996, which passed the House by a bi-partisan vote of 259-169 that year.
As an immigrant, I understand the importance of English proficiency in the United States, continued Mujica. Without English, newcomers struggle to succeed economically, educationally, and are slower to see themselves as part of the American family. It is easy to understand why 82 percent of the population, including a high percentage of immigrants, want to make English the official language of the United States. We will work enthusiastically with Rep. King toward a common language policy for the United States.
U.S. English, Inc. is the nation's oldest and largest non-partisan citizens' action group dedicated to preserving the unifying role of the English language in the United States. Founded in 1983 by the late Sen. S.I. Hayakawa of California, U.S. English, Inc. (www.usenglish.org) now has more than 1.8 million members.

Do they really differ? Apparently 46% of CA hispanics voted FOR Prop 187. I don't think American hispanics are at all monolithic on this or any other issue.
The issue of a guest worker program is completely separate from the issue of illegal aliens.
We have a guest worker program. It may need to be reformed but illegal aliens are those who have not applied to be guest workers. There are 11 million of them. (or more) The only thing needing reform now concerns illegal aliens and border security. We need to enforce the existing laws respecting the presence and employment of illegal aliens and border security.
Border security is the number one problem in this debate. The flood of illegal aliens is a major factor in relation to our lack of border security but it is only one factor. There is also a matter of national security in a time of war and in an age when terrorists have set their sights on inflicting mass destruction on our society.
After the issues of border security and millions of illegal foreign nationals on our soil the matter of guest workers is very small. Until the first two problems are thoroughly and firmly addressed the guest worker issue should not even be discussed.
The President the Senate and the House need to get that message with unambiguous resolve.
Border security! No employment for illegal aliens!
Immigration and a guest worker program are separate issues from the above.
Now is the time to put the pressure on!
The more pressure we keep on Mexico, immigration-wise, the more reformers inside of Mexico can be emboldened and empowered to scale back monopolists' abuses down there which keep our own country flooded with economic refugees. Here's an interesting new thread on new legal progress that finally emerged in Mexico I think as a result of immigration reform's failure:

We can make a difference for our sake, and their's as well. Isn't it the neighborly thing to do?
I'm way ahead of you on understanding your complaint, and I've read said Constitution enough to know what it says (without the bonus exclamations). My point to you was that you don't seem to have any workable plan of action for accomplishing your goal. Being happily indignant isn't a plan.
Sorry to say, but your throwing in the towel and refusing to vote or vowing to vote for a meaninglessly fringe party, won't have any effect on either party at all. (oops forgot !!!)
P.S. Albert Einstein was paraphrasing Edmund Burke, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
