So, these companies that were supposedly crabbing to Eller about working with DP World....are we to infer these companies ONLY did business that involved US ports and NONE of the other ports worldwide that DP World manages?
Very flimsy rationale, IMO. I think Eller was ticked they didn't get the bid and sought to get the deal done other ways, especially when the judges ruled against them.

It's the same rationale that Democrats demonstrate toward Wal-Mart. Follow the donor money, keeping in mind the union ties therein.
Re-reading my post, I'm afraid perhaps I wasn't clear. I meant that Eller using that excuse about companies pulling business as a reason to be against DPW was flimsy. Just wanted to clarify I was disputing Eller's premise, not the author.
Eller never wanted the entire operation. They wanted the Miami port operations and perhaps a few other terminals. They are still hoping their asinine little stunt will force a fire sale with DP World so they can pick up the terminals for far less than they would have paid on the open market.
