The Op Ed makes the point that this "peace" activist should ahve known better, but that his anti-American mania obscured his sanity.

He ended up fighting for the ones with the axes, then ended up on the wrong end of the axe because of it.

If you ever get a chance to watch the movie "Grizzly Man" about Timothy Treadwell I HIGHLY recommend it. It really shows just how insane he and his nutty liberal friends were. The bear footage though is really good...
