With a mind slipping away like that, she'd better be a little more careful sticking up for the likes of George Greer and George Felos.

Justice O'Connor noted that the US should look to events in the elsewhere in the world, such as in former communist and developing countries, to see what could happen when the legislature interferes with the judiciary.

"It takes a lot of degeneration before a country falls into dictatorship, but we should avoid these ends by avoiding these beginnings."

There the press goes, quoting her out of context again. What she meant was that we should look to third world countries as a model for our system of government, and all dictatorships should be ruled by out of control judges.
