How many cases are there like this that we don't know about?

That's part of what scares me. This attitude that people are disposable is sickening. They labelled Haleigh as PVS within 5 days of her hospitalization! PVS is a clinical diagnosis that is made over much more time. That's why it's called persistent. I know the DSS wanted to get the step-dad on murder charges, but that doesn't condone them wanting to withdraw life support from Haleigh. Did the DSS lawyers convince the doctors to give a PVS diagnosis, or are the doctors just quacks with hardened hearts? Makes you wonder who you should trust. None of them, I'd say.

Medical people say that PVS is misdiagnosed around 43% of the time, and we can't even know for sure if that's true.

Medicine is always learning, so you would think they would realize to not be so hasty.

Poor little Haleigh was almost a victim of this rush with death.
