Most people are probably more tactful than me, so I'll say what they cannot. This has got to be one of the more idiotic statements I have ever read on FR.

Childless people pay WAY more in taxes than parents.

Childless adults are rapidly becoming economic free riders on the backs of parents.

LOL, I've lost count of how many times I had to work late, work a holiday or otherwise get assigned a crappy shift because Jane or John has a child and can only work 9-5, M-F.

People who believe this and the person who wrote this tripe can add ignorance to their list of shortcomings. Those of us without children are often in that situation as a result of a cruel twist of fate rather than choice. In addition we do more than our share of subsidizing those with children through our tax dollars. I suggest you find something else to whine about.

Your screen name needs to change to "IDon'tUnderstandFreedom".

I pay taxes so your crotchfruit can go to public school, but you don't hear me whining about it. My money is confiscated for schools, after school programs, health care for kids with irresponsible parents....all unconstitutional.

MY right to vote has nothing to do with my decision not to perpetuate the wheel of suffering.

You have the right to express our opinions no matter how absurd and moronic and unsubstantiated they are.

Hmm our screwed up divorce courts and ridiculous paternity fraud might have something to do with some choosing not to have children. Throw in a world full of religious muslim fanatics bent on destroying non-believers and living lives full of terror. This is a world with limited space and resources and as history shows we will end up with wars for both to thin out the crowd. Mix in politicians who are selling our country down the river for their own gain and there might just be some valid reasons for reflection before procreation.

As far as not having enough replacement children, Presidente Bush has assured the next generation will be full of anchor babies with his talk of amnesty. Not only will the childless be paying for these babies education, but all taxpayers will help with the economic costs except for businesses who profit from the cheap labor. Anchor babies will be an anchor in more ways than one.

George Washington was childless.

That being said, we do need children at replacement rate or higher, or we'll go the way of Europe.

If you espouse to that nonsense, then child molesters, abusers, pedophiles, smokers, drinkers, fat people, the poor, the stupid, the religious, the non-religious, Jewish people, Catholics, Protestants and on and on shouldn't vote...total bunk.

There is already grousing in some blue zones by the childless that they shouldn't have to subsidize the "breeders'" children. How long before child-hostile places like San Francisco become the norm?

I don't want the "tumors" to subsidize my children, I want them to stay far-away, in every way, from them.

If one is medically sterile; if one has dedicated their life to serving God; if one is career military. All have legitimate reasons for not having children.

There is absolutely no nobility in deciding to remain childless for purely selfish reasons.

How about you change the laws to where fathers/exhusbands are no longer wage-slaves to their former wifes, and I might father some children then.

And then there is those 40 million abortions.

So, now I'm a "Free Rider"?

Somehow I am being unfair for not wishing this screwed up world on another generation?

Then refund all the higher income tax's I have paid, all the property tax's that went to support other peoples kids, etc.!

No? That's what I expected.

Careful, you might be mistaken for a Rat. Since when did voting only have to do with the future of the children? I'm childless and there's plenty for me to vote for. I have plenty of interest in the future of this nation with or without kids.

What a load. The only economic 'free riders' in this nation are welfare recipients, and most of them have plenty of kids.

Government employees are the ones that shouldn't be allowed to vote. They have interest only in their salaries and benefits, and are non producers by definition.

The childless are in the unique position that they can oppose tyranny and not have their children used against them. They alone bear the consequences of their actions, allowing them to use integrity as a weapon against tyranny so your children will be free.

Shannon Love's use of the word "parasite" should garner her a broken nose.

"The childless shouldn't be allowed to vote. They have little interest in the future of the nation."

Based on that, at 50 and never married I'm not only a parasite, but also degenerate (an accusation actually amde by one allegedly "biblical" church).

So in order to vote, instead of living a biblically moral life, instead I should be hanging out in bars, find some slut and say:
"Yo Bimbo!
I'm Mister Sleaze
I'm what you want
and I'm what you need"
Then go knock her up. And walk away, hoping she doesn't track me down for a paternity suit.

You are an idiot.
