Incidentally, this Marine verifies just about every veteran's story I have interviewed (I work for a DoD newspaper) coming back from Iraq. I recently spoke to a Sailor attached to a detachment ferrying convoys all over Iraq and he said pretty much the same thing.

You guys are so right. I am proud as hell of my years with the Marines and I have seen more than a fair share of combat but its important to remember that without "rear area wennies" there'd be no ammo, food, fuel, hospitals when you forget to duck, mail, water, etc...
