If the deal goes through, it will sink both Bush and his party in November. We'll have a Democratic Congress and an impeached President by this time next year.

His political capital credit card is way maxed out. He just isn't trusted enough to pull off something like this. I would have thought he learned that lesson with the Miers nomination. Sad thing is, this might be a smart idea and actually leave us safer, if in fact they are true allies. But Bush's word isn't enough right now. And the risk that the reverse is to is simply too great. Or at least that they are vulnerable to being used by our terrorist enemies.

BTW, the referenced article is pretty much part of the official "party line" everybody has been fed since day one.
Wonder which party though ~ West Coast Longshoreman's Union perhaps, with it's traditional Marxists field agents doing the writing?
Anyway, the writer lost me when he said: "Because Saudi Arabia virtually invented Wahhabism". The truth is it's simultaneous or the other way around. Try: http://islamlib.com/en/page.php?page=article&id=485 for a quick look-see concerning Wahab. Quite a character.

People who still treat Bush like he doesn't know what he's doing are such suckers it's incredible.

How come I keep hearing, "Read my lips...."?
Must run in the family. Right when it's time to win, the Bush guys drop the ball.

In addition, Dubai Ports World has ties to the Bush administration. The UAE also has direct ties to Osama bin Laden.
There you have it folks, the intrepid Mr. Zublick has uncovered the Bush Administration's ties to Osama bin Laden.

"The United States has agreed to grant citizenship to 7000 Ahiska Muslims who will settle in Pennsylvania. They are currently living in Russia, where they are not treated as citizens."I heard the above on Michael Medved'd program this summer. They're to be settled very close to Philadelphia, and given welfare, medicare and state sponsored health care once they get here. Philadelphia is one of the six major ports in the Dubais deal. I grow increasingly MORE uncoomfortable with it all.

I personally don't have anything against letting them have the ports. They won it fairly and are as good an ally as we can hope for (still not much though).
Still, it's stupid to stick to it when EVERYONE disagrees with him. Just tell the government politely that he can't give them the ports.
I find it funny though how the democrats are up in arms about giving the ports to Arabs. They were against profiling and this is the ultimate profiling. Well, anything to hit Bush.

Yeah, I forgot to reckon with George's omnipotence. Sorry.Ya know, I really appreciate you taking the time to consider YOUR rights and post such a blasphomous picture...It's really big of you.
With people like you supposedly on the right, who needs enemies on the left?
Inconsiderate prick!

Screw off. I don't care what you consider blasphemous any more than I care what the Muslims do.

President Bush is not in charge of regulating all commerce on Planet Earth. That would actually make him a tyrant.

I'm waiting for certain people here to start rioting in the streets over political cartoons featuring the Image of Bush.

the one thing the Bush administration had been able to point to as a success was the way it was conducting the war on terror.
Until somebody easily smuggles something across the border.

I know you were being sarcastic and all, but Bush is very confident in this deal, to the point of threatening to use his first veto.
A friend pointed out that Bush and his family have a long history of dealing with several major/powerful familes in the Middle East, as well as their companies (oil, construction, shipping, etc.). I'm kinda leaning towards what my friend was getting at - that Bush is so confident (because of the threat of using his first veto) that he must feel extremely comfortable turning over the 20 or so port operations.
To: AmericaTalks
This ports deal, if it is allowed to go through, will sink Bush.Bush is not running for anything so he can't be sunk, but it will sink the Republicans if they back him on this.
