Into elective office, is talk radio really an effective stepping stone? With a number of others diving head-first into Congressional campaigns this year, probable 2008 Minnesota US Senate candidate Al Franken apparently isn't the only one with ties to the medium. In addition, several have at least indirect connections with liberal radio network Air America.

If Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, or Dr. Savage ran for Congress or the Presidency can anyone imagine the wailing and ranting from the LEFT about having to drop their communications outlet? Why is Franken not run off his show since he has already moved back to MN and if anyone doubts he is running for Congress, then I have beach front property out here in AZ I would like to sell you! What hypocrisy.

Its not hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is when you say one thing and do entirely something different.

Now Double Standards, thats something else entirely.

For the left, they scrutinize everything conservatives do to make sure they are playing by the rules. But for the liberals, rules aren't nearly as important as outcome. As long as the outcome is attained what does it matter how it was done?
