CSK Funeral Turned Into Political Circus (Vanity)
Vanity, Me | 2/7/2006 | Me

What a shame. The Rev. Joe Lowry, just turned Coretta Scott King's funeral/tribute into a political attack against the Bush policies and the War on Terror.

I have been watching the funeral while working, and I can't believe this guy's tackiiness. What a beautiful event until this idiot did this. Very sad.

Did anybody else hear the reference to the Weapons of Mass Destruction and other stupid comments? I think I'll write a letter to the editor of the Atlanta Constitution and let them know how tacky I think this is.

Totally NOT unexpected. Though still tacky and uncalled-for. But that's what liberals DO. See Paul Wellstone's memorial.

Standard tactic, especially since the Wellstone Funeral turned out so well for them.

My wife had it on and I heard and saw it just seconds ago. All W can do is sit there with a straight face. Reminds me of the the Wellstone memorial that got us Rs another senate seat in Minn. maybe something similar will come out of this.

I am hearing bites on Rush and I am LMAO. These peeple are the stupidest creatures on this planet. The "Coretta knew there where no weapons blah blah blah..." Time to buy more ammo for the upcoming civil war, it looms closer everyday.

I'd give a year's salary to the Republican party if GW would get up and leave.

They are so filled with bitterness, rancor, and futility over no longer being the party in power, after all those years, that they are beside themselves, and can't help their bitterness and anger boiling over on any occasion. They think that they should OWN the government-never mind the democratic process. They only had a veneer of rationality and respect for freedom and democracy while they were in power. They just can't understand that they're NOT WANTED-it's unbelievable to them.Hence, the spewing of that bitterness and disbelieving anger on any and all occasions. It's getting worse as it slowly dawns on them that they will probably be in the wilderness for a long long time to come.So they assure that fact by showing their real selves-hatred,vile rhetoric, bitterness. They are absolutely squirming in their skins at their utter dismissal and they can't help making matters worse for themselves by displays like this one. I hope they keep it up-I would like every American to get a good look at who they really are,and turn away from them in disgust, permanently.

It's why their latent hatred of America has burst into the open-America spurned them and the hatred they always had deep down for this country, has been intensified and brought into the light by a majority of Americans rejecting them.

Here's Jimmy's speech (or tribute to himself):

I did this . . .

Then I did this ...

And I did this . . . And this . . .

And I, I and I are here today to talk about me and I, and oh yea, Coretta.

OMG now he is talking about Katrina.

He is an IDIOT!!!!! No class, No brains, no respect.

Wonder when "Sheets" Byrd will speak?

Former President Bush just mentioned "race-baiting," and dignity in one paragraph. Good for him. Unlike some of the other speakers, he knows a thing or two about dignity.

OH MY,

The first Black president and his woman are taking the stage. This ought to really be comedic.

No surprise that race-hustlers would use a dead black person this way. They've been doing it for decades.

What is strange to me is that Hillary did a lot of bobbing her head almost like she couldn't help it. I actually tried to wobble my head like that and it was hard. Strange, wonder if something is wrong with her??

I'm amazed at what was said at the funeral. I heard the end of Rush and now I'm listening to The Kimmer. I figured today would be a very long tribute to CSK and even MLK. I did not hear it myself, just got home from work. This is just mortifying.

Bush gave a remarkable speech there. He was decidedly apolitical, and surprisingly evangelical.

But there he sat, in the belly of the beast. The man has guts.

This will prove to be a watershed for the Republicans. The American people will never let this insult of a sitting president go unnoticed. As for Carter, he just can not help himself. He is really just a little man after all.
