"The Sensenbrenner bill instantly turns millions of people into felons."
Aliens illegally within our borders are guilty of a federal offense.
Does federal law even have a threshold such as misdemeanor vs felony?

...criminalize a large portion of the countrys population for going about their everyday activities of working and hiring others to work.
Newsflash to the author, Mr. Contreras, working in this country without authorization is illegal and so is hiring people who are not authorized to work in the country illegal. No matter how much he spins this to be a part of everyday activity in America - it's still illegal.

The United States Senate must craft a bill that legalizes the hiring of foreigners by employers who are willing to work in our fields, factories and cities at jobs American wont do.
How about a bill that allows any US citizen to walk up to anyone employing an illegal alien, toss them up against the nearest wall, and simply shoot them dead as law breaking treasonous anti-American scum? You want Mexicans to work freely in the US, then get Mexico to petition the US for statehood. Until then they are foreign nationals subject to our immigration laws, and if they are here unlawfully then they are simply criminals subject to immediate deportation or prosecution.

-Thereby increasing the supply of labor, and driving down wages.
One reason that so many entry-level jobs are going unfilled is because (and I know this from bitter personal experience) welfare pays better, and you have your days free to goof off or work under the table.
Another reason many jobs go unfilled is the fact that so many employers require pre-employment drug screening.
Turn off the tap for healthy, able-bodied adults without small children, and suddenly there would be more labor than we have jobs to fill.
Remember, gang, when you see those low unemployment figures on the news, the Government only counts people actively looking for work. Once you give up and sit on welfare, they no longer consider you part of the labor force. Makes them numbers look real good, sho' 'nuf.

If all the illegals are legal then they get paid what Americans are paid then who do we replace the previous "cheap labor" with?

Regarding US statehood for Mexico's provinces, I think the word you're looking for is "anschluss." Works for me.
Canada is getting too big for their britches as well.
How about a United States of America that stretches from the North Pole to the Panama Canal? (Soon to be renamed the Theodore Roosevelt Canal.)

Why not? If we are going to pay the cost of feeding and housing most of their population then we may as well take control of the resources and do away with the drug lords and failed leadership. The THEODORE ROOSEVELT CANAL ---I like the sound of that.

And then Karl I, founder of House Rove, can become Emperor of North America. His apprentice, Darth Dubya, will become military governor of Aztlan.

The Sensenbrenner bill instantly turns millions of people into felons.
That is a flat out lie. The Congress cannot pass an ex post facto law which means that the illegals who crossed the border before its passage would be guilty of a misdemeanor not a felony. It is the illegal aliens who illegally cross the border after its enactment who will be felons.
