Can't you install over the net? Or put the install on a usbdrive?

Happy to report just joined w/two P4 2+Ghz machines. Need help though; one machine says it can't connect to secondary assignment server. Will it automatically retry or do I have to do something more?

I should also be able to add new machines at the end of February or beginning of March. All 2.0GHz Athlon 64 / Opteron or better, several boxes are 2.4GHz Athlon 64 with Linux. It depends on how things go.
Not dozens, at least not yet. (I own all of them.)

You are 62% complete. (124/200=0.62)
You should finish in two more days.
Just keep chugging along. The two PC's I have folding have both received 5+ day units recently.

I did a quick search for that in the F@H help files. Couldn't find anything.
The client calls back home trying to reconnect and update work assignments. Probably a Stanford problem.

Roland99 Donating Member (1000+ posts)Sat Jan-21-06 08:29 AM Response to Reply #186 187. Yes, the growth is awesome! But, the Freepers have almost double the # of users (and who knows how many more CPUs). They have two ringers that are producing most of their output now and they joined the Freeper team just a few weeks ago. We can DU it!I love it. We're RINGERS now. And BTW roland, the number of active CPU's is the second line, on the Stanford stat team page.. 497!!!!!

Since I'm a nice guy, I'll give Roland a hand too:
"Although, something seems odd with those 7-day numbers...I'm pretty sure we weren't 0 on any day in the last week."
You probably weren't at 0 last week, but Extreme OC only tracks the top 2,000 teams - all those 0 days before the 17th were before you broke into the top 2,000, so they don't have stats for you guys. You're welcome :)

The problem that was predicted to finish in 6 days this morning was done by supper. Thanks One for all and all for one, right? Don't think this means you have to overtake me, though ;)
To: Senator Bedfellow
Thanks. I bookmarked it. I guess those people over there don't know how silly they make themselves look.

They really are naive.
For them to move up the next 5 ranks, they have to notch up
about 1,000 points. For us to move up 3, to 399, we have to put up about 15,000 points.

DU Folding@Home Thread #5 - Gaining on the freepers
"...You can have fun catching Freepers along the way. It's a great fringe benefit to joining Team DU. :)
The Freeper team stands in the top 500 -- let's knock 'em off that pedestal they're sneering down on us from; what do you say, DU?"

Wow-- the team has gotten 30K+ points today! Impressive. I see that we have 500+ processors, too.

Yeah, I don't think they (well, most of them, anyway) realize how steep the hill gets as you get closer to the top. At their current rate, they're looking at cracking the top 500 sometime around the end of May - by that time, we should be well up into the top 200, maybe up to 150 or so...
