You know the drill. Someone attacks President Bush in some vicious way and they immediately score a megbuck book deal with Viacom's publishing arm, Simon & Schuster.

Next, they get a puff piece on Viacom's CBS show, "Sixty Minutes." We've seen it how many times before?

Viacom has become an everflowing sewer pipe pipeline of hate America agitpop.

Behold the breathless press release:

Atria Books Acquires Memoir by Peace Activist Cindy Sheehan
Monday January 9, 4:20 pm ET

NEW YORK, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Executive Vice President and Publisher Judith Curr announced today that Atria Books will publish a memoir by noted peace activist Cindy Sheehan, to be released in September 2006. Senior Editor Peter Borland acquired World English rights to Ms. Sheehan's book from literary agents David Vigliano and Elisa Petrini of Vigliano Associates.

Since her son Casey's death in Iraq on April 4, 2004, Cindy Sheehan has become internationally recognized as a leader in the peace movement. Her book will take readers behind the headlines to share the wrenching, yet profoundly inspiring story of how she put aside despair over her son's death, and took on the mission of speaking truth to power in the Congress, in front of the Pentagon and the White House, and on President George W. Bush's personal doorstep with her Camp Casey protest in Crawford Texas.

Cindy Sheehan says, "My experiences over the last year have shown me that one person can make a difference. True change has only come to our country from grass roots movements. In telling my own story in my own words, I hope that I can help inspire others to activism."

Peter Borland says, "Out of unimaginable personal grief and tragedy, Cindy Sheehan emerged as one of the most influential figures of 2005. In this book, readers everywhere will have the opportunity to get to know her beyond the sound bites, the photo-ops, and the media coverage." Publication is scheduled for September 2006.

In 2005, Atria published 18 New York Times bestsellers, including Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult, Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Aron Ralston, Driven From Within by Michael Jordan, Afterburn by Zane, Goodnight Nobody by Jennifer Weiner, and Consent To Kill by Vince Flynn. Atria has now published 72 New York Times bestsellers in its short four year history.

Atria Books is an imprint of Simon & Schuster, a part of the CBS Corporation, is a global leader in the field of general interest publishing, dedicated to providing the best in fiction and nonfiction for consumers of all ages, across all printed, electronic, and audio formats. Its divisions include Simon & Schuster Adult Publishing, Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, Simon & Schuster Audio, Simon & Schuster Online, and international companies in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. I ask again, exactly what difference has Cindy Sheehan made? All she has done is give hope to the terrorist that if they hang on, and blow up enough soldiers and civilians, the US might give up and leave Iraq.

Nothing else has changed because of Cindy Sheehan. Nothing.

But of course Mother Sheehan's book can be counted upon to uphold Viacom/CBS's hallowed tradition of being "fake and inaccurate."

I wonder if we will ever hear how much the Peace Mom Sheehan is getting for her tome. We never were told by our watchdog media how much she got for her last runaway bestseller.

I guess that isn't newsworthy. We know Mother Sheehan isn't interested in money. That's why she only charges $30,000 to give one of her rants.

This is no surprise. It will come out right before an election, and then Cindy can do a book tour, appearing on all the TV stations to promo her book (and that probably means appearing on Sixty Minutes, also).

So we'll be seeing "Sheehan, the Sequal" right in time to vote.

They could get Mary Mapes to proofread it.

"and that probably means appearing on Sixty Minutes, also"

I guess you didn't read the article.

Viacom owns CBS and "Sixty Minutes."

This is all part of their disinformation network.

"Viacom owns CBS and "Sixty Minutes."

You can't believe they'd be so crass as to shill for their own book, can you?

Or that Sixty Minutes and CBS news have sunk so low?

How dare you question Mother Sheehans motives? Have you lost a son in Iraq?

I can already see the gigantic ziggurat of Sheehan books stacked in the entrance of Borders. Like Clinton's "My Life" 50% will go directly to the bargain bin.

"Like Clinton's "My Life" 50% will go directly to the bargain bin."

And the other 50% will be bought by labor unions, Universities and libraries -- to help the cause.

So Mother Sheehan is now a "Noted International Peace Activist", is she? How long before she wins the Nobel Pieces Prize?
