For better or worse, the gay community is part of NYC. As with any long time group, the city would be worse if it didn't exist.

Can you explain these comments? How would it be worse?

Simply stated, the gay community has a place in NYC. It's part of the machinery of the city. And, despite what even they may say, in all of the noise and hub-bub of other groups they don't particularly stand out.

Boy they sure print crap and talk about nothing don't they? The second most important position in Houston, The Comptroller, has been a gay woman for 2 or 3 terms. We may also have had a gay female mayor for ten years in the 80's. If she wasn't, she sure went far out of her way to surround herself with them ... one of the reasons I finally moved a county over.

The actual city limits of Houston are carefully drawn to make sure that voters will always re-elect the Houston Chronicle/homo/liberal/choo choo trainers/etc. They'll always control city politics because they have the power to choose who elects them.

We may be the most carefully-drawn liberal city in America. Let the whole metropolis vote, and they're history. Can't have that!

I ain't telling you, HC, anything you didn't know long ago.

You know you like gays, HC. Stop trying to deny your inner feelings.

She says descriminate against smokers but put Homos in power. I hope good New Yorkers leave this Sodom and Gommorah before it's too late.

That was a satirical line, but she does have an antismoking bias, so I used a little absurdity to illustrate absurdity.

Thanks for reading TEHL.
