There was one other place of interest I want to mention but couldn’t remember the name when I posted – Dodge City. A true Hollywood gunslinging town.
Nope. Really kinda peaceful.
True. Certain parts, especially some saloons could be quit exciting, but in general the streets were very safe. It was true that almost everyone was armed, even the ladies. As a result, common street crime was rare. There just weren't any muggings. Stagecoach & trains were a different matter, but even those were risky for the crooks.
