I actually did prove the documents were fake before I proved they were authentic.

Mapes still contends that the obviously forged Texas Air National Guard documents that purported to prove that Bush was AWOL were authentic and that even if they were fake, the story is still somehow valid.

Rather still says the same thing. If this were in the real world, where someone faked a report or falsified data, they would be fired immediately. If this were in school, they would be given an "F" and possibly expelled. But not in the world of journalism apparently.

I am curious about those Freeper wetboy teams. Are they the assasins dressed in pajamas and bunny slippers?

I actually did know a liberal woman who thought that the Left was reasonable while the Right was full of kooks. When I told her about the DUmmies as chronicled in the DUFUs she thought I was exaggerating. Then I got her to actually READ the DUFUs. I asaw that, but there must be thousands of such documents out there. I have an inch thick packet of military orders and such left over from 1969.

None are typed in a proportional font, so I am not eligible for the prize. Maybe the TANG had better equipment than the Army.

I have a friend from that era who was in the Florida Guard. He hasn't come forward with any proportional docuumets, but maybe Texas had typesetting equipment for doing routine memos.

This how Kerry got beat last election. Trying to make Bushes guard service an issue is what got Kerry beat the last election. It is a dead horse and the sooner we get off of it the better. With the quality candidate we had in Kerry and the issues that he was so qualified to deal with, we wasted it trying to talk about Viet Nam and Bushes guard service instead of the issues that really mattered. By this logic it is incumbent on "the Jews" to respond to the charges in the Protocols because the facts might, you know, be true, even if the documents are forgeries. It also puts the victim of any and all forgeries in the position of having to prove a negative.
