Our good buddy Vincente, has a real hard time with the difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigration...but this thug does not care. He has been supporting and encouraging ILLEGAL immigration into our country for a decade or more.
Now, is this why Bush LIKES THIS GUY?? Because he ENCOURAGES the breaking of our laws?? What is wrong with this picture? (as if I didn't already know)...
Sounds like Mexico's prisons are more humane than there were just a short while back. There was no notice that you have to provide your own meals and that must mean they are feeding the prisoners.

After spending several years starting oil exploration crews for Pemex, I think I have The reason Mexico has become so bad.
I like the Mexican people in the fly over parts of Mexico. The mid level and workers of Pemex are good. It is the government and the high up in Pemex that are the vultures and looters. The peso was about 8 cents (12.5 to a dollar). When Pemex found the sito grande, a very large oil pool that covers parts of the states of Chiapas and Tabasco also a long ways into the Gulf of Mexico.
Pemex borrowed billions to produce this great oil find. The looters (government) stole most of the money and what they did buy was junk oil rigs and drill pipe, etc. 1,000 pesos which was worth about $80 now will not buy a coke. This was due to the looters stealing billions from the Mexican people.
Instead of overthrowing the looters the Mexican people had an out, they had no weapons and they could cross into America and have a much safer life. This hurts both Mexico and America as Mexico lost some of it's hardest workers. The gangbangers also came over from Mexico as they could rape and pillage at will.
The government of Mexico is propped up by the billions sent back by the illegals and by our government having borders that are too open.
The only chance I see to help America and Mexico is to seal the border, deport the people who are not here legally. We also need to arm the Mexican people so they can have a chance against the looters with their armies.
NOTE: I am talking about the old peso which was changed to new pesos at about 1000 old pesos per 1 new peso in the mid 90s.

Mexico Ping!
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off this South Texas/Mexico ping list.
"Article 123 of Mexico's population law states that "foreigners illegally entering the country will be subject to punishment of up to two years in prison" and fines of up to $28,220."
We need our OWN Article 123!
When I contact my Congresscritters about immigration, I'm going to include that line in my letters!
If you want to send a comment to El Diario or El Noticiero, the E-mail address is editor@editorialmac.com. I'm sure these Mexican newspapers would like to hear from us Freepers. Freep em!
Same story here. The US rarely even bothers looking for illegals, much less fining them, throwing them in the klink, and lets forget about deportation.
The commission presented a report that found overcrowding
Same story here, again. Our prisons are overcrowded and city/county jails simply don't have the funds. The commission presented a report that found overcrowding
They had the Mexican Ambassador on last night, it seems they issue 6 month visas to the Guatemala 'workers" that they need to pick their crops.
So let me get this straight. They send their folks here to pick and then they need migrant workers ??
We all know that those Guatemala workers really are only passing through Mexico on their way here ... DUH .. it is no ones dream to be a worker there
