The Dems (with complicit assistance by the MSM) approached and appealed to the black voters. They controlled the media which enabled the Dem party to portray themselves as the party with a heart, as the party for civil rights. The Dems rely on our society's short term memories, our lack of history (wherein a selective, revisionist history has taken hold).

The Dems push for the welfare state, the idea of entitlements in all facets of our society. The age of personal resposiblity, of personal accountability was no longer set forth as a virtual to be emulated.

So many achieving Blacks are degraded, by other Blacks, for their successful efforts, in their striving to better themselves. So too the Dems set forth the 'idea' that minorities are 'kissin up to the man' if they stray from the Democrat plantation.

As was stated in FR's "March for Justice (31 Oct 1998), The Dem party practices the 4 D's in their voter base:

To keep them in
Despair
Dependant
Depressed and
Democrat

It's really basic. The Democrats & MSM continuously stay on message that all Afro-Americans and fellow Democrats are VICTIMS...and WILL ALWAYS BE VICTIMS...and only the Democratic Party will take care of these victims...
Ever heard a Democrat proclaim they are not a victim?
