Yes, I meant the system, but the cop also should have known someone is going to start shooting if you break in unannounced. I blame his superiors and all the elitist people that think we should bow down to the police forces and not say boo when they smash down our doors without warning.

It is a shame that this disregard for the law of the land has resulted in two lives ruined, one gone, and one about to go.

I agree there isn't enough evidence to go on in this article but I do believe that the guy thought he was being broken in on by criminals, due to his not having a criminal record and by the fact he quit firing after 3 shots and slid his gun away. He had no reason to shoot at cops, no drugs or other illegal contraband in the house, why would he shoot it out with the cops especially with his baby lying there in danger?

One of the articles posted on this thread talked about how the cops first tried to go in the front, indentified themselves, and then tried to go in the back.

I'd be interested to know whey they couldn't get in the front, first of all.

Secondly, if that's true, it seems pretty far-fetched for cops to make up a detail like that, one they'd all have to agree on and provide corroboration for. No matter how tight the police 'cronyism', if that is the case here, I find it hard to believe that ALL the cops present would go along knowing the end result could be a dead 21 year old man.

And third, if the above is true, I find it hard to believe that the 21 year old didn't know they were cops when they came in the back.

My 2 cents.

Why? Shouldn't the people just put up with this for the greater good of limiting the price of drugs or at least driving up the prices? In effect making the cops the agents of monoply for the dealers.
