Bravo Melanie!!! Encore!!! We are not worth, etc.!!!
Some people forget over 60% of voters voted for a Republican candidate in that election. Instead of the paryt building McClintock up, they twisted every arm to screw him over. I still remember the GOP County Chairman group coming out and joining the betrayal. That was such a sad day - watching the news that evening and seeing them do that and how devastated the McClintock aides looked.
Now the challenge will be to determine whether he's just as bad as Gray Davis or even worse.
That (R) after his name means RINO, although, with a few more leftist moves, it will stand for Rat.
God, what a disaster this foreign jackass has turned out to be.
I recently sat next to a lady visiting from Germany. Politics was brought up, by her not me. I said something about our governor and this launched her off. Insisting that she was not prejudice, she reminded me that Hitler was Austrian too. She brought up another Austrian of that same caliber I just can't remember who it was. Anyway, she insisted that we never should have elected an Austrian. Nothing about his policies, it was all about race with her.
"No. They would be serving in the McClintock administration."
What is the basis for that statement given the numbers in the election?
60% of voters wanted a Republican. Those votes would either go to Tom or Arnold. At the last moment they all swung to Arnold. Bustamante was never going to win the recall - never, not ever. Not a chance.
Without Arnold the recall would not have passed. I agree Bustamante would not have won. But most of Arnold's votes would not have gone to McClintock. They would have voted No on the recall.
I see. What evidence do you have to cite that bizzarre conclusion?
"Those votes would either go to Tom or Arnold."
I'll post my evidence when you post yours.
Quoting polls from more than a few days before the election is meaningless. The swing voters that matter make up their mind just before they vote. Because of Arnold, the recall passed despite the Democrat media blitz. Even then, it was fairly close. And let me quote you another poll--13%. That is the fraction that your, and my, man Tom McClintock got of the votes on election day. Wish it weren't so, but those are the facts about the voters in CA.
