PRESS RELEASE
Chicago, IL. December 2, 2005-Independence Party of Illinois Announces Platform
The Independence Party of Illinois adopted its platform for the 2006 general election. The cornerstones of the platform include restructuring the primary grade school curriculum, a reverse amnesty program to address the illegal alien problem, true campaign finance and corruption reform, and election reform.
Members of numerous third party and disenfranchised Democrat and Republican voters have formed the IPIL.
The goal of the IPIL is to provide a viable alternative to the two major parties. The party intends to run candidates for the statewide officers and for the 118 state representative and 39 senatorial seats.
About the IPIL
The IPIL is composed of members of the former "Reform", "Harold Washington", "United Independents", and other third parties along with disenfranchised major party voters. The IPIL developed the platform to addresses the problems caused by the leadership of the Republican and Democrat Parties. The IPIL platform was developed to improve the public school system, reduce political corruption, address the economic drain caused by illegal aliens and reduce the cost of state government. Illinois citizens can access the IPIL on the internet at http://ipil.org
