If they ever get rid of Castro & the embargo, the whole country can get their books in the black just by selling off all those old cars. I understand they're all held together with baling wire & bubblegum, but they keep them running somehow. Detroit might want to recruit some engineers from Cuba, too - keeping those cars running with no spare parts requires true mechanical genius.
You do realize that while the car bodies may have been made in Detroit, the replacement engines now in them were probably manufactured somewhere in the Urals?
I don't know, maybe that wouldn't matter to old car enthusiasts...
