NY Times Gets Suckered……………Again !!

The New York Times : Gray Lady of the Media ,Fearless Seeker of Truth, Justice, and The American Way –( Well: Okay. Easy on the “American” part !) has gotten suckered , yet again.

Desperately eager for yet another burning coal to heap upon the execution pyre they have lit for the Bush Administration, The Times (“All the news that’s fit to print”) latched on to an article – written by the ever-popular "Clayton Hallmark" - that has made the rounds of all the Online Media ,and that was a feature article in “Bellaciao” ; which is ostensibly an anti-war publication from Italy.

( I say “ostensibly” because you have to go to page two before the familiar hammer and sickle appears in its bold position of honor atop the left margin , and the publication begins to sing the praises of Communist candidates for office in Italy…but I digress !)

Here is a link to the article –which the Times seems to have copied rather slavishly.

Enough of that ! Let’s get to the fun part !!

The original author, “Clayton Hallmark” ,says the information he posted was obtained from “plane spotters” , and he gives several links.

(I’ve put his name in quotation marks because-for some reason or other- when I search Google for articles by Clayton Hallmark, I seem to wind up with articles by GREG SZYMANSKI ; and, oddly enough, these two authors have similar writing styles. Szymanski is one of those who have suggested 9/11 was an “inside job”,carried out with explosive charges –presumably by evil Zionist and Neo-Con plotters.)

I’ve made my own (slightly clumsy , because I’m out of practice) inquiries and learned : (a) There are plane spotters ; (b) some of them do “collect” and pass on photos of aircraft they SURMISE might be associated with the CIA; (c) none of them I’ve chatted with have the facilities to trace these aircraft to the CIA- much less expose a network of CIA –owned “shell companies”.

( If the “shell company” listings ARE accurate, the information would almost have to have been a deliberate leak from a source in the CIA-but that , perhaps, is a possibility best investigated by professionals.)

Many of the plane spotters were AMUSED at the idea that some of the planes named would be used to transport detainees to “secret torture facilities”. Let me quote one experienced pilot:

“Cessna 172 ? Cessna 182 ? DC-3 ? Twin Otter ? The places where they are supposed to be torturing the people can’t be very far away !”

So, “Gray Lady” , show us your “Underalls” !tm

Have you been snookered –yet again ?

The New York Times credibility rivals that of CBS.

Wasn't there a big hoopla about exposing these CIA assets last week? And now you're suggesting it was all just some fever fantasy of the left? Man, you need a scorecard to keep up!

I can't find any NYT article as you mention.

THX.

If you put the New York Times reputation through the "witch trial" tests, you discover that it won't sink and drown when thrown into deep water. An examination of the NYT's would reveal that there are black marks all over it. The Lord's Prayer test would reveal that the holy prayer is anathema to the NYTs.

And when burned, the New York Times makes great kindling, but provides very little warmth.

Great, a vanity in which refers to something the NY Times has "latched on to", but doesn't provide a link to anything at the NY Times.

Links, Sir. We need links.

Just finished checking-I couldn't find story either. (I had relied on someone else's statement and link, but, after going back to source, found no such link in the post.)
