Here's another one for the Brigade:

This time the target is Jay Rockefeller:

A Bill
Resolution of Censure of Jay Rockefeller

Whereas on Nov. 13, 2005 during a nationally televised interview, Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia
admitted to taking it upon himself to visit the countries of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria in January of 2002
whereupon he "told each of the heads of state that it was my view that George Bush had already made up his mind
to go to war against Iraq."

And whereas Senator Jay Rockefeller also told those heads of state "that was a predetermined set course which had taken shape shortly after 9/11."

RESOLVED: That the Senator from West Virginia, Jay Rockefeller, failed to maintain proper public ethical standards by impugning the ethics of a sitting President of the United States.

His behavior on Nov. 13, 2005, in which he made allegations against the President, WITHOUT GIVING ANY EVIDENCE, betrayed the necessary good conduct as a Senator, affected the honor of the Senate, and that this conduct of the Senator from West Virginia, Mr. Rockefeller, is contrary to senatorial traditions
and is hereby condemned.

Again, e-mail and fax it to your senators.

Let them know that it's time to send a CLEAR AND STRONG MESSAGE!!!!

Here is a letter I sent to my congressman, calling on an immediate vote on the "Murtha Plan" to dispell any notion of our enemies that Murtha's plan has a chance in h*ll of passage.

Honorable Congressman Davis,

This is a grave day for our troops. Already we see e-mails from the field speaking about demoralization, dejection, and defeat. This is NOT because of what is happening in Iraq, the troops are still winning there.

No, it is because they see their elected leaders cutting the legs out from under them. They see their victory at war, bought at great cost to themselves and their compatriots, turned into a defeat by those in washington who are either scared of public opinion, or worse want nothing more than to take back control of the reigns of power, and don't care who they sacrifice to do so.

Our troops, our allies, and our enemies now see a "respected high-ranking democrat" calling for immediate and unconditional surrender. And they don't know how widespread that feeling is, but it gives our enemies hope that congress will vote to do so soon.

We must dash the hopes of our enemies, and rekindle the enthusiasm of our troops. My recommendation is that the House immediately schedule a vote on the "Murtha Plan". Our allies and enemies alike must see that the United States REJECTS Murtha's plan for capitulation. They won't see that unless a VOTE is held to repudiate it.

And after the vote, Murtha must be persuaded to withdrawal his recommendation or resign from the house. So long as a person in the house is in direct conflict with the stated goals of the government, and cannot support the efforts of the troops in a time of war, it will give our enemies hope that he will eventually persuade his colleagues.

But he can't be "forced out". He needs good, respected members of the house, the senate, and the military (preferably all military men) to sit down with him and explain what is best for the troops. I believe Murtha is an honorable but misguided man, who can be persuaded to do the right thing for our troops in a time of war.

But regardless of that, it is imperative that the house get ON RECORD now rejecting Murtha's plan. And if a majority of the democrats support that plan, it is very important that we get them on record now, so there is plenty of time for true patriots in their own party to rise up with primary opponents who will support our troops, not cut and run when the war has gone on too long.

I note that nobody seems to claim that things are getting WORSE for our troops, for Iraq, or for the war. IN fact, things are getting better. The democrat complaint is that it isn't moving FAST ENOUGH for them. Cynically, I believe their real fear is that it IS moving too fast, and that if they don't do something now to undermine the troops and embolden our enemies, Iraq might truly BE stable before the next election, our troops might be returning home victorious, and their 3-year strategy of turning the nation against the war to win election will have backfired.
