"Frances leaders, like the British and Dutch, are clinging to the hope that sympathetic dialogue with moderate Muslims will calm the street,"
How about the creation of special "Muslim enclaves" where followers of the Islamic faith can be guaranteed that the brutal French police would not impinge in any way on their pursuit of an Islamic lifestyle.
Very shrewd indeed. Sounds as if the French are beginning to get a leg up on these guys, eh. LMAO!!!
Clouseau-esque indeed!
The L.A. riots of 1992 ended when the marauding criminals came up against Koreans with rifles on top of their buildings.
And the guns were not loaded with meringue.

At this rate, perhaps talks of retreat on the parts of the French people are the next step.
Muslim Youth Riot in Paris
Rioting Muslim youths are engaged in a spate of violence in Paris. Shots were fired at police and fire crews as they battled youths who torched car dealerships, public buses and a school. So far, more than 300 vehicles have been destroyed.
Jean-Francois Cordet, the top government official for the troubled Seine-Saint-Denis region north of Paris said he is at a loss on what to do next. "Our police have been employing our basic policy of strategic capitulation, but it doesn't seem to be having the same salubrious effects it has in the past," said Cordet. "In 1940, strategic capitulation quickly led to peace between France and Germany. These Muslim ruffians do not play by civilized rules."
France's government has been working overtime composing an apology to the Muslim community. "Our hope is that by cravenly abasing ourselves we will be spared further harm," said Louis Louis III, spokesman for the French Ministry of Apology. "We are also considering offers of delectable pastries as an inducement for rioters to reduce the arson to more moderate levels."

Sounds like my work. If a problem comes up, call a meeting. And while the meeting is taking place, the problem is being taken care of by the guys who weren't invited. Two weeks later, the boss that called the meeting gets an award. Happens every time.
So the explosion of the Arab street, predicited in response to Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon etc...finally happened. But it happened in Paris because they refuse to actually fight back.
What amazes me most is that there are some people who are amazed this happened.
And no matter what happens this time we sit it out and let them settle it themselves for once.
And the guns were not loaded with meringue.
Yeah, but see, that's the problem. In France the guns are loaded with meringue. Either that or Brie. ; )
Sniper teams in Baghdad have been hitting the terrorists so bad their heads are spinning. Sounds like somebody is learning something.
I just hope and pray that no Koran was harmed in the making of this Islamic production of arson, looting, destruction and murder.
That would be bad.
"Shrewd."
LOL!
Apparently the French have no rooftops.
"In France the guns are loaded with meringue."
LOL! line reminds me of Yellow Submarine. Which is come to think of it, not a bad theme song for France.
We may have our own issues soon. Don't think for two seconds that the predominantly muslim areas in this nation don't have their weapons cocked and ready to go. You couldn't pay me enough to live within 100-miles of a predominantly muslim area in the States right now. Kind of like living in New Orleans, just for different reasons. It's only a matter of time regardless of what happens.

I'm just having an agument on another board, with an American living in France who is basically and apologists for these riots because its been perpetrated by teenagers. He actually doesn't think they are aware of the consequences of their actions.
