whoops, just realized that the redstate column is talking about spring 2002 and I thought we were talking about spring 2003.... hope I'm the only one who mixed up the dates and not General Vallely! But did Vallely say "spring 2002" or "spring 2003"??? It's possible that he has things straight and it's WND or Redstate that's mixing things up. They'd all better have their ducks in a row if it comes to a legal battle (though I strongly doubt that Joe Wilson would dare to face a rigorous discovery process in any legal battle - he's got too many skeletons in these matters).

In face, maybe the solution to this nightmare is for some extremely well-funded person(s) or group to try to force Joe Wilson into a legal/slander courtroom battle so that all the real facts can come out in a courtroom discovery process. The biggest problem is that Wilson (so far) can hide behind MSM ignorance and sloth, and only 'cooperate' with highly sympathetic reporters who give extremely one-sided accounts of everything, so no one ever gets to give him and his affairs a proper rectal exam.....

Th past five years have been so full of events that it is hard to keep the years straight. We have to focus on March 2003 as March to Baghdad month. General Vallely would have been on Fox to discuss Afghanistan efforts in 2002. Why would Joe Wilson have been there - he went to Niger in Feb of that year, but did not write the op-ed for another 16 months.

We have to think March 2003 :: BB = before Baghdad and AB = after Baghdad fell.
