Re your post #71 - You actually have a valid point in their at the end -- as I already said, more women should be encouraged to think like a CEO in this country. Not just the owner of a small business, but the owner of her own, large, big business.

Now, tell me this: Who's gonna teach girls to have that mindset? Teachers? Courtney Love druggie types? Mommies who never had a job?

Here's who can and does teach girls that mindset: Fathers.

Unfortunately, we lose our dads too soon in this country.

We do? Who is "we"?

How many "mommies" do you know who don't work outside the home? I don't see too many of them around these days. However, why someone who cared enough to stay home to raise her children would be assumed to be unable to act as a suitable role model to them is baffling to me.

Let's see. You don't like white males, stay at home moms, or corporate America. Anything else?

i suppose raising our children doesnt qualify as a job?

did it ever occur to you that "mommies who never had a job" can and DO all the time raise thier daughters (and sons) to believe in themselves and that they can do anything they set their mind to?

what planet do you live on where only an upperlevel position or CEO mom is capable of teaching the "proper mindset"?

from your posts, i would say this is not a good mindset for our young women at all. blaming "evil white men" "cooperations" or folks like mr french, as the reason they cant "make it" is nothing more than teaching them to be victims.
this sounds like feminist clap trap to me.

what is wrong with staying home, taking care of your husband and children? you act as if a woman cant make ceo or one up a man, then life is less meaningful.

i have read all of your posts and while you seem to have "corrected" yourself toward the end, it is contradictory to all your previous posts.

i am wondering if you wouldnt recieve a better reception over at DU.
