IMO, women are their own worst enemies.

In some respects, you are right there. Sometimes women do not help each other. And, too often women who do outstanding work do not understand the value of promoting themselves in their profession. They bristle at the suggetion that they, for example, have a WEB SITE, or participate in anything ONLINE. These kind of women are like death knells for other women who are trying to make it or learn.

And, by he way -- while it may seem I am literally rejoicing over Neil French suffering a DEATH BY BLOG (and, I am rejoicing in that), maybe I need to qualify something for you and other men reading this thread: I don't feel that way about all way.

And, I especially do not feel that way about men I have worked for, or with, and I have worked with MANY men on a professional level. Yes, we are all human, and we all make mistakes, men and women alike, but I know of MANY PEOPLE, men and women, who would choose a man over a woman boss every time. I am not sure why this is, but I know it to be true, and I don't mean to slight women by saying that.

Finally, the one and only gripe I have had with some men I have worked with -- and this is true for more than one man, I might add -- is that I believe the did not marry well. They are not appreciate enough at home. In short, their own wives do not appreciate these type of men nearly as much as they should.

The wives of these particular men -- in my view -- should have spent some time being single, working in the work place on their own, finding their own apartments on their salaries, etc., and then, they might see their husbands in a brand new light.

And, that is not meant as a slight to all women, either. Some women are great, some are not; some men are great, some are not.
