If you homeschool the ratio is even better.
First, the author is illiterate. He/she is most likely a product of the California school system.
Second, I've met many Cubans in my life, all anti-Castro, and they are wonderful people. They **had** a wonderul culture, which seems to limp along, but most of it was wiped out by Castro.
Pity the poor Birkenstock crowd if Castro's death results in an overthrow of the regime, and - god willing - a democratic form of government is put in it's place. With the fall of the Soviet Union, the poor hippies have nowhere else to drool and fawn over. Their utopian socialist wet dreams just aren't paying off like they used to, poor things.
I can never understand how they can see the abject poverty of that country (and the Cuban's pleasant nature points more towards the Cuban spirit than the government - Cubans are strong folk) and come back raving about how **wonderful** it is. How low does your self-esteem have to be to think that?
Oh, wait, I forgot, it's the "Not fair, he has more than me!" crowd. They just HATE it when someone points out how pitiful and pathetic they are, and succeeds in life, thus they haveto take away that success, as they will never achieve it unless it's handed to them.
This country will throw the biggest party ever when the last of this putrid breed dies, and that day can't come soon enough. Sadly, we'll have democracy in Cuba before that ever happens.
