Like me, the author does not trust Bush because of his abysmal record as cited in the article; and because of his primary loyalty to Jesus Christ, not to Bush and the Republican Party. It is not a knee-jerk reaction. By his own actions while in office, Bush has EARNED my distrust as a Christian.

Well aren't you special.
I guess we should all trust you instead.

We were all new at one time. No one owns posting rights to a source like WND. Without new people & ideas, FR would get real stagnant.

Kid Rock is a "rapper"?
This and the chicken little bit about the Patriot Act takes away from an otherwise right on article.

I don't even understand where the Christianity stuff comes into play here. The guy can't say no to any plan for spending my money. You don't need to invoke the word of God to make a credible case that Bush is a proponent of big government. Common sense will suffice.

I don't trust anyone who hasn't earned my trust. GWB has to some extent, but I think the giveaways, both of my tax dollars and the conservatives political clout need to stop, and the border needs to be closed up.

New to FreeRepublic I see. I get that comment alot. My answer is always the same: Tenure on FR does not magically embue anyone with any special wisdom or intelligence or knowledge.

We were all new at one time.Oh I see. Yes we were all new one time or maybe even many times.

This and the chicken little bit about the Patriot Act takes away from an otherwise right on article. The problem with the Patriot Act is two-fold: (1) There's a little thing called the U.S. Constitution which prohibits searches and seizures of the Patriot Act type; (2) It does not take into account the tyrannical proclivities of future presidents (pick a Democrat) who will not hesitate to use this Act on American citizens.
To: SmartCitizen
...primary loyalty to Jesus Christ... OK. I'll bite. This has to be a troll. There is no evidence beyond pandering hearsay that the President's "primary loyalty" is to Jesus Christ. None.
GWB, twice-elected POTUS; "Dave Daubenmire" is a complete unknown.

Yeah, I'm learning that anyone who ticks off the Bush-bots is labelled a troll. I really don't give a flip what you think chief.
