I voted and worked my ass off for Bush. He's a great placeholder President. The question is a placeholder for what?
He hasnt done much for me in 5 years since the tax cut and WOT. Think hes showing the tone deaf qualities of his father. We have three years of a lot of no progess ahead.
I myself and my conservative friends actually think the pick was disrespectful to the base, the court and even to the lowly liberal.
One mans opinion like all.
And he's had nothing else to deal with?
That's a lot more than the last guy did, right?
Though don't expect them to be touting that fact anytime in the immediate future.
This nomination-regardless of what you think of Harriet Miers as an individual-is awful in every respect.
She'll be confirmed-with a miracle she won't-but that doesn't mean I have to sit here and be silent.
Not by any means.
Sorry but your post is just begging for a quote.
"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what" .... you know the rest.
I voted for him, and I am glad I did.
Nobody is perfect, but he has been much better than most.
I support his SCOTUS nominee and I am sick of listening to the critics.
"He hasnt done much for me in 5 years since the tax cut and WOT."
Bush cutting your taxes and keeping you alive through the WOT are the most important things he could have done for you and provide benefits that are ongoing both to the economy and the security of the nation. We start sounding like liberals when we expect a president to do much more beyond lowering taxes and securing the nation. And I say this as someone pissed about the high spending and lax border control, so don't come back at me with "But don't you care about..." Yes I do care about those things, but I also recognize the important things Bush has done for this nation.

Not like those are small things. He also got the economy going despite inheriting a recession, a devastating (to the economy and to mankind) terrorist attack on 9/11, and through two wars. Yes we would all like him to secure the borders (I know you are going there) but what president has before him? Can't say that it's all Bush's fault. (Oops I forgot we are not aloud to say that anymore since all of the Bush haters have now come out of the closet and now everything is Bush's fault.)
