Basically, Air America hired Franken because he was the D-list celebrity most enthusiastic about wanting the job.

They should have hired a complete nobody with leftist politics and good on-air skills.

A complete nobody would have required slightly more promotion than the barely-known Franken, but a complete nobody also would have worked for a fraction of Franken's million-dollar salary.

The couple of times I've listened to him, I didn't think he was that bad. His delivery I mean.

The content was absurd, of course, half truths, and flat out, ridiculous lies. But that's red meat for the party faithful. The DU'ers can't be complaining about that part.

I thought he was fairly entertaining.
