Both Colter and Krauthammer have gone way down in my estimation.
I can't even listen to Coulter when I agree with her position :)
Isn't a little hypocritical to complain about the liberal activism on the court and exempt Republican Presidents from criticism when the Republicans have nominated seven of the nine justices?
Honestly, it's going to be hard to pin the blame on the Democrats for the tyranny of the court, the huge, massive expansion of government and that nothing is being done about illegal immigration. All that IS the fault of the Republican party.
Mark Levin doesn't trash the president. That's good. Presidents deserve a little more respect than callers. Now "hang up the phone, you big, fat moron!"
I believe it's possible to disagree, question and even criticize respectfully.
Judge Robert Bork, David Keene, Charles Krauthammer, Rush Limbaugh, George Will, Rep. Tom Tancredo, Roger Pilon, Bill Kristol, Thomas Sowell, Mona Charen, Richard Lessner, Sen. Tom Cogburn, Sen. Sam Brownback, Sen. Trent Lott, Robert Novak, Bruce Fein, Peggy Noonan, David Frum, Terrence Jeffrey, Michelle Malkin, Wall Street Journal Editorial Board, Manny Miranda, David Limbaugh, Gary Bauer, Alan Keyes, Pat Buchanan and Paul Weyrich, John Fund.
This is the running list of people either opposed to or with serious concerns about the Miers nomination.
It's too bad so many of the name callers (Kool aid drinkers) believe personal attacks on Miers are respectful.
On Miers, Ann has went too far, for too long. If she is seeking to alienate, she has me, with her.
"Ginsburg, that idea is stupid. Prostitution is not a constitutional right. Now, throw down the gavel, you big, ugly moron." Somehow, I can see it.
I believe that personal attacks on Meiers are wrong. It's not her fault that the POTUS f'd up.
I also believe that dissent should be allowed by conservatives in the Republican party or what is the point of being in the damned thing? If they are going to govern like moderates, why bother?
And the list is a very mixed bag indeed. Some of those I would not give so much as a passing nod on the street, to say the least.
I like Ann Coulter, I think she is funny, but she is way out of line here, along with Bill Kristol and others. They have shown that, along with the elitists on the left, they really think that Bush is just a buffoon hick from Texas. And his nominee, Ms. Miers, is another buffoon Texas hick, who didn't even manage to choose an Ivy League law school.
It's going to be hard to win elections in the future, period. With RINO's rampant spending habits, open borders, etc. as you point out will render republicans useless in the future. If you put a republican in office and what you really get is a dem you have betrayed oneself so to speak. At least the dems are honest - they'll tax you to death and then flush the funds down the toilet. But at least they are being true to themselves, and by that extrapolation, are more honest.
I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that the republican party has been taken over by liberal-moderate types that call themselves republicans but are dems at heart and just won't admit it, just as the democrat party has been taken over by the kook left, either way our country drifts into the abyss of socialism.
In other words, it's not poor little Harriet's fault that the President would nominate such a little nothing to the Supreme Court?
Why not come up with something substantive? How about a little factual information that proves your contention that she's substandard? Oh that's right....you don't have any yet. Truthfully, there is zero evidence that she's not fit to sit on the court. Right now, it's just a bunch of people who are upset because their favorite pick was passed by making a lot of noise.
Truthfully, there is zero evidence that she's not fit to sit on the court.
