The Threat on NYC: What we know, what you need to know.
Today | HHK Republican

Tomarrow is 'the day' so to speak. Be Alert, Be aware.

xIntelligence points to an attack tomarrow, as well as tuesday.

xThe Mass Transit system is considered the main target, however the DHS has also mentioned "Civilian Structures"

xThe perps are considered to be Middle Eastern, but the NYPD is aslo profiling for North Africans.

xIF YOU SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING
Always better safe than sorry.

xIf encountered with a situation always remember the bravery and heroism of flight 93.
God Bless America, keep her safe.

,i>Do you have a link to the DHS saying the threat included other cities and civilian structures?

Far as I can tell, DHS is too busy tooting their horn about their response to Katrina to have anything at all on their site about the NY City threats.

I believe they meant Hospitals etc...

Where etc would probably include football or other sports stadiums, concert halls, theaters and shopping malls.

Apparently there was some blurb from the NY state dept of homeland security.

The only thing on the NY state DHS site is a statement by the Governor issued on Oct. 6. Nothing very specific in that. Fox has a transcript of today's interview with the NYC Police Commissioner, but nothing specific there either. Nothing linked from Drudge, although there are 3 stories on the NYC threat, but none of them mentions much in the way of details, including any "other cities" or "other than transportation" specifics.

I did find one story via Yahoo, that at least mentioned the Federal DHS memo. http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_1513921,00050001.htm

Reuters, who had earlier reported that they had seen the DHS memo, has a headline story Tight security in New York, plotter may be in US, that was updated at about 1 PM EDT. Still nothing on threats to other than transportation or other than in New York City.

TERROR THREAT NYC PING

(sorry to the handful of you who got the previous ping, but we've added alot since)

Freep Mail to be on off

(List should last thru Ramadan...and be re-activated whenever there is a major threat against the USA)

No one's cutting you at the knees. Stop with the hyperbole. I was simply stating that there is another way to look at the posts instead of a defensive tone. Geesh.

Some people just enjoy needling for sport. Don't mind it, you're doing a great job.

Your immediately following post belies your first excuse. Some people can't help but be kneecappers, to borrow your phrasing.

Still, your "what we know..." words are exactly what come out of a Cronkite , a Brokaw, a Jennings, a Rather. You phrased it better in your post this morning where you avoided that off-putting "what we know".

You don't know what we know. You don't know what other people know.

You know what YOU know. Speak from that and I have no compliant. Try to tell me what I know, to presume that you know that -- is a overreach. And as it does when it comes out of an MSM anchor's mouth, it rankles me.

Saying what "i" know what you need to know...makes me sound like even more of a stuck up liberal...I wasnt speaking we as Monarchial Plural...i was saying We as Americans.
