With conservatives like these, who needs liberals?

The political bar will move left to right and right to left over the decades to come, just as it has moved over the decades that have passed. As I read with great fascination, the Blog Post all over the web from conservatives it is obvious that we are not monolithic in are view of the world even though we all share a penitent to be a little (or a lot) right of the political spectrum. A great discussion is taking place on the Free Republic and other conservative web sites. We debate vigorously about Immigration, SCOTUS nominees and we debate often with each other as to the veracity of our own conservatism. I have written dumb posts out of pure frustration while trying to defend the President of the United States. In some of my posts I have done what many of you have done. I have called people names, accused them of belonging to the Democratic Underground and in general I have performed much like a Howard Dean clone when others did not share in my view point. I remind myself today that Republicans and Particularly conservatives value the freedom of speech more so than any other group in America. Republicans have never forbidden the expression of free speech unless if course it came to out right violation of public decency of which the merits can be debated. I do no think it is terrible thing to have discourse in the conservative family. I supported Pat Buchanan when he made his first run against the first Bush. I supported McCain in 2000. I supported whole-heartedly the re-election of GWB to be president of the United States of America in 2004. It was only the second time in my 38 years that I have voted for President. I did not vote for Bob Dole or Bill Clinton in 96 simply because I thought better the Liberal I know than the Nice but in my opinion feeble senator from Nebraska, but in no way could I hold my nose long enough to vote for Clinton. I have always admired conservative democrats. They always seem to bring to the table a nice mix of Populist understanding and real conservative principles to their voting. David Boron will go down as one of my favorite political figures of all times. So what am I, a conservative Libertarian or a Dreaded liberal? I think of myself as a small government conservative. I think of myself as a Libertarian on most occasions, except I am an agnostic who is vehemently against abortion, not because I have any religious beliefs but because I just simply think its wrong and murder. I do not care whether someone is a Homosexual, but I do not believe in sanctioning civil unions or marriage among same sex couples, not because I am religious as have already told you I am agnostic, but because it is a mockery against the institution of marriage. I do not think that it is wrong for gay people to adopt children. I do not think that gay people can influence a human being into being gay. I dont think that a child should suffer the indignity of foster home care unnecessarily, I am the product of good foster homes and understand that most are very good places for children, it just does not replace having someone adopt a child and making them a full and integral part of the home. I dont care what peoples sexual predilections are as long as they do not violate the law and are between consenting adults and are kept in the bedroom. I believe in the constitution like many folks believe in the bible, it is to be taken literally. I believe that Americans of every color are a race unto themselves. I believe that Americans alone are a blessed people; whatever God or gods watch over our good citizens also must stomach the rancors of blow hard, depressed folks who always fear the end of the world is just around the corner or that life was some how better 50 years ago. I feel for these people, they are missing out on life. So to the point of the Title, if we can tear each other to threads and believe in the sanctity and rightness of our own views within the conservative realm, if we continue to accuse each other of not being conservative enough or worse, accusing each other of being from the left, than why on earth must we even concern ourselves with liberals.

How do you feel about paragraphs?
To: jennyjenny
Jennyjenny I took my last English class in 10th grade. I did not even graduate from high School. So I admit that I am not as educated as most folks in the Formalities of the English language, for that I apologize sincerely.

I supported McCain in 2000. MeCain McVain is a real team player, that guy.
Have you learned your lesson or will you be supporting his 2008 Presidential bid?
