Hunters and Huntresses, Fishermen and Fisherladies!
I'd like to get a roll call of fellow FReepers who have an innate love of the sports of fishing and hunting. The two sports which bring men and women closer to nature and God's planet than anything else.
More specifically, fishers and hunters in the Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania region. This beautiful stretch of land encompasses the midwestern portion of Pennsylvania near Oil City, up past the Kinzua Dam on the Alleghany Reservoir in historic Warren, PA, northward into New York State, past the 21-mile long Chautauqua Lake in Chautauqua County.
My reason for writing this is that a personal friend of mine has recently got a radio show on a local radio station in southwestern New York. It is entirely dedicated to hunting and fishing, mixed with the latest hot button issues related to the sports; gun control, licensing, and the like.
His website is at http://www.grisslygary.com, and we're trying to bring more people into the fold who might not think of radio as the first source of local hunting and fishing talk. The forums are a great place for local hunters and fishers to help bring issues to the forefront. On October 29th, we have an interview scheduled with the Republican challenger to the County Executive position in Chautauqua County, NY, Greg Edwards.
Every little bit of attention helps! If you're from outside the area mentioned, we're looking into other means of broadcasting, being it local syndication or offering for download archived shows on the website (which is close to fruition).
Sorry, can't help you with east-coast stuff....
But, hey......

I'm just outside Minneapolis right now on business. It says "10,000 lakes" on the plates for a reason!
Good to know that the record books were finally cleared up!
"I'm just outside Minneapolis right now"
Then, you're getting wet!!
You're absolutely right. It's storming and pouring!
