for Republican Roy Blunt in Alabama

This was one of the very best Dummie Funnies ever, PJ. As an aside, we have our Roy Blunt here in Missouri. Is there another in Alabama?

I had a real physical reaction as I read the angry online accounts. It was something between a panic attack, a heart attack, and a nervous breakdown. My palms were sweaty; I gulped and tried to breathe.

Damn!! That makes my day.

An all-time classic! Thanks, P.J.

I like the expansion beyond DU into the fertile ground of more 'respected' DIM publications.

Ben Barnes’s version of events was crucial to understanding a significant chapter in President Bush’s life from thirty years ago, an important key to unlocking the questions many Americans had about the man in the White House.

TRANSLATION: "Ben Barnes’s delusions were crucial to the slanderous fabrication we were trying to foist on the American people about President Bush’s life from thirty years ago in order to influence a Presidential election."

Mary had a little Scam, It Fleeced on a TV Show. And everywhere that Mary went, The Scam was sure to go.

Great stuff. I humbly suggest maybe one modification: Mary had a little Scam, It Aired as black as coal, And everywhere that Mary went, The Scam was sure to go.

'The amazing thing about Mary Mapes is her utter LACK of familiarity with the Internet.'

she obviously has no friends who would take her aside and say, "Uh, Mary,...have you heard what's on the internet...? Looks bad for you, suckka........"

The National Guard was a nothing story. He was a proven commander in chief.

The real story was how John Kerry was a traitor and negotiated with the commies in France. She didn't want to do that one. And, she didn't want to do the story about the vote in Kansas City to assassinate senators.

Mary tried so hard on this one because she thought it would damage the president. She is a partisan hack b*tch.

"There was no hint of what was to come, no whiff of doubt about the work we had all done on the story."

Yo, Mary. There was a whiff ok, fer sure. Fact checking and that darn new-fangled internet thingy just got in the way of your freakin' PRECONCEIVED notions didn't it? Poor baby, limp in the bar, what a tragic night.

PS, Mary. I am from Texas originally and I was in the AF at the time-sorry to disappoint, the regulars, not the Guard-, and Mary, sweetie I can tell you for sure, if GWB had wanted a billet as an AIRMAN BASIC, it would have been a problem since there a line to Rhode Island and back. The draft, don't you know. Anyway, pilot slots were somewhat easier to come by since the STANDARDS AND REQUIREMENTS were somewhat higher than visible breath on a mirror under the nose. There was space if you could cut it.

And Mary, bunky, sweetie-that information was public knowledge long before GWB became a Governor, much less the POTUS.
I really hope that Mary didn't suffer any lasting trauma from such a trying time. I really hope Ben freakin' Barnes is feeling better. And I am really glad that you bit the big one because you didn't have enough sense to look around and check your FACTS and realize that you and every clueless leftist at See-B-S could not see the internet for blinders that you still apparently, wear. Ping me Mary, if you ever get a clue. Twit.

My favorite part is her complaining about right wingers digging around in Barnes past. Apparently only approved media people can dig around in the past of approved victims

Yea, like when the Chicago newspaper dug into Illinois Senate candidate Jack Ryan's divorce papers!

For once...can't someone do a story on the anatomy of a botched MSM story? This one was ripe for that critique.

Thanks PJ. Another great addition. What is most amazing about this woman is she still doesn't understand what went wrong.

Yes, scan a document onto a computer and the scanner software may change fonts etc. to a more current format, but they never claimed that was done in this case. Copying or faxing would never change a document in this way.

Her "document" expert Matley never claimed that he verified the documents. He agreed that the signature was Killians, but could not verify it was not copied onto the document unless he saw the original. The original that was conviently "destroyed".

She doesn't even address the right justified signature block, when that wasn't done with a typewrite since it would involve too much work for very little gain. Now with computers, it is easy, but in the 70's no one would take the time.

It is amazing how she can still lie to herself after a year of proof.
