The less notoriety, the better. I like a modest person.
I think all this is quite interesting. We really don't know how she stands on issues... but she is getting dim support just because the far right doesn't like her! Could this be a brilliant move? Getting democrat support and getting her to the SC without too much quarrel?
I can't say I like her or don't like her... I don't know much about her. I would have liked to see a strong documented conservative nominated, but what if she is a sleeper and can fly under the radar right into the position? Perhaps she is the conservative we would like her to be. This move could get her there without the damage and all the spotlighting on the dems would get with a different pick. All that free face time the dems got with Roberts was just disgusting and I am sure, very influential with the public.
Between Katrina and Roberts, the MSM had a Bush feeding frenzy and any "notable" liberal was just basking in the glory.
I mean, with Roberts... who was in the news all the time? Who were we talking about? The dims were right out there in the spotlight, again and again. As I see it, her nomination puts her and us in the spotlight again! What are we hearing... every conservative name! The MSM is focused on us.
Anyway, this is an interesting ploy and an even more interesting choice. We shall see how it goes. I think she just may be a sleeper. The more I hear about her, the more I am inclined to give her my support. I was very disappointed initially, but that is easing especially now when I am seeing the spotlight be even more focused on conservatives.
