Got some interesting responses when I sent this as an e-mail. A woman who is living in America and has been for years but who has NEVER applied for citizenship berated me and called me a right-wing nut.

You haven't been on my list for a very long time now. I just responded to all. So far, the only one who has e-mailed back is you. And yes, despite what you want or don't want, I will continue in prayer for you, just as I pray for our country and the world. And yes, I already pray for the troops, you see, because my own son, Matthew, who is 22 years old, is one of them and I am very, very proud of his courage. He's been to Iraq, came home safely, and is to return. His best friend from childhood has also been to Iraq three times now and just reenlisted and is going back again. These young people have the courage many people lack, and not a day goes by that they are not in my thoughts and prayers.

Take care. I thought you were my friend some time back, but I was mistaken. Real friends agree to disagree. You can insult, name call, etc. I forgive you.

P.S. I spoke fluent French and Spanish before my mild stroke a few years back, so I'm not as ignorant as you may believe. But that is the only part of my brain that was damaged. The rest is just fine :)

Hi Linny ~ most don't say anything ~ because they always come up short when we start having a conversation ~ most just don't like President Bush.

I tell that them he's going to be president for three years and three months longer.

I also tell them that he'll go down in history as one of our greatest presidents ~ that really gets them. ;)
