What about the influence on all the other students when those parents show up to school functions or just when it is found out her parents are gay?

A private organization has the right to chose its associations. This girl, and her lezzy "parents" are not the responsibility of the rest of the school to deal with.
Having said that, you WOULD think that a Christian organization would do something to counteract the pro-fag lifestyle this youngster is daily subjected to.
I think the school made a great move by letting folks know they do not condone that behavior. Part of the problem of why these "lifestyle" choices are being forced down our throats, is because there are not enough people (in this case, institutions) standing up and saying "this is not right."
