I also think it comes from fathers who raise boys
If a father teaches his son to treat women like the gift that they are from God
and to treasure them..
this would not be a problem!!
Boys learn how to act towards and treat women from seeing how their fathers
treat and love their mothers. I have 2 boys..one is already a teenager.
He watches every move his father makes
he is blessed that his father is an AMAZING man...
he then will know how its done when he finds his own wife.

Excellent post, PaulaB. One reason I read things like this is that I know many boys are not being brought up as yours and mine are ... and that boys who are familiar with these things (if not actually practicing them) are around my daughters.

If a father teaches his son to treat women like the gift that they are from God and to treasure them..... this would not be a problem!! That is the MOST on the money statement I've read. Look, while I made the TIC remark about men needing to read what women read....the consistant, and I mean CONSISTANT theme in all these books is the man treasures the woman. He's crazy about her, protector and willing to die for her. All the other stuff asside. That is what these women are lacking and want.
That is why one reviewer rather snarkily wrote "We read these books to see men behave in a manner we never see them behave in RL."
